I have been meaning to build a new website for a very long time now, unfortunately spending most of my time building websites for others, left little time to throw at the task. Finally, after grabbing every spare minute available, I can reveal the new look Design Spin website. I hope anybody viewing the site having seen the old site, see’s it as a vast improvement. I have certainly had fun building it, and welcome any comments people would like to throw my way regarding the site.
FRESH CONTENT IN MINUTES NOT HOURS
The new website should theoretically make my life easier as everything is contained within WordPress, which is now my content management system of choice. Now I can very quickly press a blog or update my portfolio, I intend to make stale content a thing of the past.
IT HAD TO BE RESPONSIVE
Making my new website responsive was my top priority as I am very aware of the sheer volume of people viewing websites from the comfort of their couch, with their coffee in one hand and i-pad or tablet in the other! You get the picture, are you one of those people?
If you are viewing a website from a smaller device and it does not respond or adapt its layout based on the viewing area, I know how infuriating it can be trying to zoom and scroll around the page. I generally just give up in those situations and with that in mind I definitely wanted my new site to combat this as much as possible.
As I offer Responsive Web Design to my own clients I thought it was high time I got my own site responding!
